Subscription Bundles, Suites and multiseat purchases on the App Store

Short answer: in iOS 27 you can sell several subscriptions as one Apple In-App Purchase. A Bundle combines up to 5 subscriptions, from one developer or up to five developers; a Suite is one subscription that works across up to 15 of your apps. Both need StoreKit 2 and an approved request to Apple. Separately, multiseat purchases are now turned on by default for subscriptions in App Store Connect: Volume Purchasing starts October 22, 2026 and Group Purchases this winter. If you do not want them, change the setting now.

Bundles and Suites: who qualifies

You need to sell through Apple In-App Purchases, use StoreKit 2 to merchandise and process them, and support iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 or tvOS 27 or later, since that is where people can buy them. Every subscription in a Bundle must have the same duration. You do not build Bundles yourself in App Store Connect: you submit a request form, Apple confirms by email if approved, then works with you on the subscription details, pricing and go-live date. Apple configures and publishes them in batches. During purchase, the App Store shows every app included so people can download them straight away.

What subscribers can do with a Bundle

Someone who already pays for one of the included subscriptions is upgraded when they buy the Bundle, gets access to everything in it immediately, and receives a prorated refund for the rest of the standalone period. Subscribers can cancel the whole Bundle or keep one or more of its subscriptions individually; cancellations and partial changes take effect at the next renewal, while upgrades are immediate. Apple suggests pairing Bundles with introductory and promotional offers and with retention messaging.

Multiseat purchases are on by default

Multiseat lets a customer buy a subscription in a quantity greater than one and manage who uses the seats. It is turned on by default for auto-renewable subscriptions. Subscriptions created before September 14, 2026 start opted out if the app does not use StoreKit 2 or the subscription has Family Sharing on. In Apple Business and Apple School Manager only multiseat purchases exist, so allowing multiseat is required to sell there. Subscriptions in custom apps are always available to Apple Business and Apple School Manager and cannot opt out.

Changing the setting and what it affects

In your app, open Subscriptions under Monetization, choose the subscription and click Edit in Purchase Options. There you answer whether a customer can buy multiple seats and where it can be bought: the App Store, Apple Business, Apple School Manager. Turning multiseat off for an approved subscription removes it from Apple Business and Apple School Manager; existing group subscriptions keep renewing, but seats can only be removed, not added. Once approved, App Store availability cannot be removed, and removing Apple Business or Apple School Manager needs the Account Holder. With Family Sharing on, only the group purchaser can share with family.
