PRRO apps: issuing fiscal receipts from a phone in Ukraine

A software cash register, PRRO in Ukraine, turns a smartphone into a till. The app creates a receipt, registers it with the State Tax Service and sends it to the buyer by email or messenger, and closes the shift with a Z-report. PRRO STS is made by the tax service itself, Checkbox, Vchasno.Kasa, E-Check and Cashalot by private services, and Terminal by PrivatBank combines card payments on the phone with fiscal receipts.

PRRO STS: the free one from the tax service

PRRO STS was built by the State Tax Service of Ukraine, and its listing calls it a free solution for micro and small businesses in trade and services. It creates and registers fiscal receipts, prints them or sends them by email or messenger, opens and closes shifts, keeps a product list with import and export, reads barcodes, takes cash, card or both, handles discounts and returns, and produces X and Z reports.

Checkbox and Vchasno.Kasa

Checkbox lets you take card payments on the smartphone instead of a bank terminal, sends receipts by Viber, SMS or email, keeps working offline when the internet drops, and files reports to the tax service from the Checkbox account. Support works from 07:00 to 23:00. Vchasno.Kasa registers receipts and sends them by email, Viber, Telegram or QR code, finds products in a catalogue by category or name, takes excise stamp codes, lets you change a price in the receipt, handle returns and cash in and out, and closes the shift with one tap and an automatic Z-report.

E-Check and Cashalot

With E-Check a manager walks you through registering the PRRO and the outlet with the tax service, setting up the till and the first receipt. It runs on a phone or POS terminal, syncs several devices, fills card or QR payment details into the receipt, issues receipts offline and sends them once the connection is back, and tracks stock. Terminal by PrivatBank: payment and receipt in one
