Accessibility Nutrition Labels: what to declare on your App Store page

Short answer: Accessibility Nutrition Labels show on your App Store product page which accessibility features your app supports, so people know before they download. You set them per device in App Store Connect under Manage App Accessibility. They are voluntary today, but Apple says they will become required for new apps and updates over time. You may only claim a feature if every common task in your app can be completed with it.

The nine features you can declare

From App Store Connect Help «Overview of Accessibility Nutrition Labels», read 30 September 2026. Labels appear on devices running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, visionOS 26 and watchOS 26 or later.

The common tasks rule

A label is a promise about the whole app, not a screen. Apple’s rule: to indicate support for a feature, users must be able to complete all of the common tasks of your app with it. Common tasks are the primary features people download the app for, the first launch and onboarding, login and sign-up, purchase flows if you have them, and settings. Include default and loading screens and actions in notifications and widgets; leave out rare tasks that are not core to the app.

Evaluate each device separately

Support can differ between iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch and Vision Pro, so App Store Connect asks for answers per device and only shows the features that exist there: Voice Control is not offered for Apple TV and Apple Watch, and Larger Text is not offered for Mac. Apple recommends an accessibility testing matrix for each device, with every common task checked against every feature.

How to fill them in without overclaiming

Start with the features you can verify quickly: turn on Dark Mode, the largest text size and Reduce Motion, and walk through every common task. Then run the same tasks with VoiceOver and Voice Control, which catch unlabeled buttons and custom controls. Claim only what passes end to end; a feature that fails in checkout or login is not supported. Answers are entered in App Store Connect under Manage App Accessibility and shown on the product page for devices on the 26 releases.

Voluntary now, required later

Apple describes the labels as voluntary today and says they will become mandatory over time, with ample time and evaluation resources before they are required to submit new apps and updates. Filling them in honestly now means the work is done before the requirement arrives, and people who rely on these features can see that your app works for them.

Where Censuus fits

A clear product page helps people choose; being found is the step before. Censuus ranks apps by the visits they draw, and adding your app is free on the List my app form. Placement comes from traffic and sponsorship: apps climb on the visits they draw, and a sponsor can pay to rise higher.
