Apps for skiers and snowboarders
For Ukraine’s biggest resort, Bukovel 24 is the resort’s own app: ski passes, the Bukovel Card, rentals, ski school, slope status and lift webcams. To record your day, Ski Tracks measures top speed, runs and lifts on GPS alone, without mobile data, and has a Ukrainian interface. Slopes detects lifts and runs by itself, shows friends on the mountain and works on Apple Watch.
How we picked: the resort’s own app, linked from bukovel.com, and ski trackers whose seller is shown as a trader in the App Store, with features from each developer’s own description. We do not quote ski pass prices.
Bukovel 24: the resort in one app
Bukovel 24 is published by Bukovel itself. Its description lists ski passes by season and number of days, club cards, online top-up of the Bukovel Card without queuing at the ticket office, ski rental across 16 points, ski school, insurance, a slope map with status and live webcams at the lift stations. Hotels, restaurants, spa and summer activities are in the same app.
Record your runs
Ski Tracks from the Polish developer ExaMobile records maximum speed, distance split into downhill and lifts, time skiing, on lifts and resting, your tracks on the map and altitude. It needs only GPS, not roaming data, and also works for cross-country skiing, ski touring and snowboarding. On Google Play it is called Ski Tracker.
Slopes: stats and friends
Slopes recognises the resort and detects lifts, runs and uphill on its own, for skiing, snowboarding, monoski, sitski and telemark. It shows friends’ live location while recording and works on iPhone and Apple Watch; its interactive 3D resort maps are a paid feature. For summer in the mountains, see hiking apps.
