Best apps to learn Polish
The fullest course is Polski: 750+ lessons from A1 to B2, with drills on the false friends that trip up Ukrainian and Russian speakers. To start for free, Duolingo says every language course is free, and LENGO keeps its basics free. Babbel tailors the course to your native language, and Nemo works offline.
How we picked: the app has to teach Polish itself. We checked each app’s own App Store description and left apps of Russian origin out.
From zero to B2
Polski runs A1, A2, B1 and B2 in order, over 750 lessons. Each lesson has grammar in plain words, new vocabulary with audio and practice. A placement test lets you start at your real level, and each level ends with an exam, with writing and speaking added at B1 and B2. Practice labs cover false friends for Ukrainian and Russian speakers, cases and endings, sibilants, nasal vowels and ł, and verb aspect. An AI tutor translates, corrects sentences and explains the rule. The first section of your level, one exam, the first story, review and the dictionary are free; the rest is Polski Premium.
