Taxi apps in Poland
In Polish cities a taxi is ordered from the phone. iTaxi is a Polish app where you choose between a fixed fare and a taximeter and can pay with BLIK. Bolt shows the fare before you order and lets you book a ride up to 90 days ahead. Freenow by Lyft books licensed taxis and lists Warsaw among its airport transfer hubs. All three list Ukrainian among their languages.
How we chose: taxi apps that work in Poland, sold by the company itself on the App Store, with features taken from each app’s store description. No fares or prices.
iTaxi: Polish taxi with a fixed fare or a meter
iTaxi orders taxis in Poland. You sign up as a private or business user and pick how to pay, by card, Apple Pay, GPay, PayPal or BLIK. For each ride you choose a fixed fee with iTaxi Ticket, so you see the total before ordering, or the taximeter like a traditional taxi. You can book a ride for a later date and time, ask for a car with more seats, a large trunk or pet transport, pick a premium car or turn on Quiet Ride in your profile.
Bolt: fare upfront and many ride types
Bolt shows the fare before you order and lets you choose ride types such as Comfort, Premium, Electric and XL. You track the driver in real time and pay by card, Apple Pay or cash. Rides can be scheduled from 30 minutes to 90 days ahead, and for safety there is an emergency assist button, audio trip recording and hidden phone numbers. The same app rents scooters and e-bikes.
Freenow: licensed taxis and airport transfers
Freenow by Lyft books taxis with professional, licensed drivers and also offers e-scooters, e-bikes, e-mopeds, carsharing and rides. You pay by cash, card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal, share the trip in real time and can pre-book up to 90 days in advance. Warsaw is among the hubs where it lists 24/7 airport transfers.
