PopRise, from a developer in Seoul, South Korea, is a bright match-and-pop puzzle: soft jelly blocks keep rising from the bottom of the board, and you tap any group of three or more same-colored blocks joined vertically or horizontally to pop them at once. Points grow with the square of the blocks you clear, and clearing another group of the same size quickly builds a combo. Five items turn a round: a Bomb clears a 5x5 area, a Star wipes one color, a Hammer smashes single blocks, a Clock pauses new blocks and Shuffle re-colors the board. Blocks rise faster as your level climbs, and you can play as a guest or sign in with Google or Apple to join all-time, weekly and monthly leaderboards.
