Vocabyx: Vocabulary Flashcards

Vocabyx treats vocabulary as something you curate. You build your own dictionaries for any language or topic, from words picked up in books, at work or on a trip, and practise them as flashcards with pronunciation in either direction or both mixed. The social side is what sets it apart: you can publish a dictionary for other learners, browse public lists others have made and add them to your library, or send any list to a friend or a class as a simple link.

It is a builder rather than a course, so it helps most when you already know which words you need. Teachers sharing a word list, or anyone keeping a running notebook of unfamiliar words, will find that link-sharing more useful than another prebuilt curriculum.
