Homfi

Homfi is a local services marketplace. If you need a repair, a cleaner or a skilled worker nearby, you post a request with a description, location, date, budget and photos, and workers or companies reply with offers. The other side works too: tradespeople and freelancers build a profile with services, hourly price, experience, languages and customer ratings to win local jobs.

Like any marketplace, its usefulness depends on how many workers are active in your area, so coverage will vary by city. Worth a try for people who prefer comparing offers over calling around.
