Real video, your choice

You pick from a catalogue sorted by topic, covering travel vlogs, podcasts, interviews, stand-up, TV shows and talks on subjects like history, hiking or AI, or you add any YouTube video to your own space. Interactive subtitles in two languages let you stop anywhere and take apart whatever you did not catch.

Solomia, the companion

Tap a phrase and the AI companion Solomia explains it: what it means here, why a native speaker put it that way, who you could say it to and where else it turns up, going past the single dictionary meaning. Saved words keep the sentence they came from, come back as flashcards or in new examples Solomia builds from your own words, and you can talk to her by voice about the video you just watched. The focus is spoken English: slang, contractions like "gonna", fast speech and a range of accents. The latest update also lets you add YouTube videos in other languages.

Honest limits

Deep In is free to download, and full use runs on a monthly, six-monthly or yearly subscription with a free trial for new subscribers; prices are shown in the app before purchase. There is no structured grammar path for complete beginners, the quality of what you learn depends on the videos you choose (the app is rated 17+), the interface is English only, and it launched in August 2026, so its track record is short.

The honest take

If you understand some English but lose the thread when natives talk, Deep In is a focused way to close that gap with content you would watch anyway. If you need a step-by-step course from zero, pair it with one. It is a learning aid, and no outcome is promised.
