Apps for portable power stations

Every big power station brand has its own app, so the right one is the one from your station’s maker: EcoFlow for DELTA and other EcoFlow devices, BLUETTI, Anker Power for SOLIX, Jackery for Explorer and HomePower. OUKITEL and FOSSiBOT stations have apps too. EcoFlow and BLUETTI have a Ukrainian interface, and EcoFlow can connect straight over Bluetooth when there is no internet.

How we picked: only each brand’s own app, from its App Store and Google Play listing. We compared what each one says it does: live monitoring, settings, schedules, firmware updates and whether it works without internet. We do not quote prices or device capacities.

EcoFlow app: online or straight over Bluetooth

EcoFlow connects in two ways. Over your home Wi-Fi the station goes online and you control it from anywhere; with no internet you connect the phone directly over Bluetooth or the station’s own hotspot. For a DELTA you see live readings, update firmware and set auto timeout, AC charging power and charge and discharge limits. Some devices add AC always on, scheduled tasks and energy management, and several devices can be grouped into one system with a dashboard. Automations need the station to be online.

BLUETTI, Anker and Jackery

BLUETTI shows battery status and input and output power live, lets you change settings remotely, sends alerts, schedules charging, updates firmware and has a user forum. Anker Power connects SOLIX stations, Anker power banks, Solarbank and other devices: set the output power of each, switch them on or off remotely and install over-the-air updates. Jackery shows battery level, remaining time, temperature and input and output power, switches outputs on and off, updates firmware and lets you share a device with your family. For HomePower and SolarVault systems it also shows energy data and solar generation.

OUKITEL and FOSSiBOT

OUKITEL stations use OUKITEL Energy, and FOSSiBOT stations use Fossibot or Fossibot+, which has a Ukrainian interface. Their store descriptions only promise data monitoring, so check your station’s manual for which app and model it supports before you buy for the app.

During a blackout

When the grid is down, your router is often down with it, and Wi-Fi control stops working unless the router runs from the station. Connect directly over Bluetooth instead, which EcoFlow supports. Set charge limits and scheduled charging while power is on, so the station is full when the next outage starts. To know when power comes back, see power outage apps; for a solar inverter rather than a portable station, see inverter apps.
