Vault Docs: Secure File Vault

Vault Docs scans and sorts paper documents on the iPhone or iPad without sending them to an AI service. Multi-page scans become one PDF with edge detection, and you can import PDFs, photos, Word and Excel files as well. On-device processing then suggests a document type, title, category and file name, and can spot several documents scanned together and offer to split them, while leaving the original intact unless you choose otherwise. Every suggestion is editable before saving.

Files stay local by default, and optional iCloud sync encrypts contents and metadata before they reach your personal iCloud. On-device suggestions are only as good as the scan, so expect to correct the odd title. People who keep passports, contracts, medical letters and tax papers and do not want them on a third-party server are the right audience.
