Hands-on review
Reservish review: a clean, free wishlist built around secret reservations
Reservish is a wishlist app with one clear job: let you share what you'd like, and let the people close to you claim a gift quietly so nobody buys the same thing twice. It's brand new — a solo-developer app that launched in mid-2026 — and it keeps things deliberately simple: passwordless sign-in, a clean feed, and secret reservations at the center. Because it's this young, we describe it by what it does, not by a track record it hasn't had time to build.
Everything here is drawn from the live App Store listing and the app's own description, checked on 2026-09-22. Where Reservish is too new to have proven itself, we say so plainly rather than dress it up. Censuus ranks apps by the traffic they draw and by sponsorship, so paying also raises placement — it does not invent usage.
What Reservish does
You create a wishlist for an occasion — birthday, Christmas, wedding, a new home — and fill it with wishes. Each wish can carry a photo, price, quantity, and description, and if you paste a product link, Reservish pulls in the name, photo, and price on its own. Half-finished additions wait for you in a Drafts area, so you can drop a link now and tidy it later.
Secret reservations — the core idea
The heart of Reservish is the secret reservation. A friend marks a wish as taken so others know not to buy it, but the owner never sees who reserved what — the surprise stays intact. You can track everything you've reserved in one place, mark gifts as received, and keep a history of what's been delivered. For anyone who's coordinated a group gift over messy group chats, this is the part that does the work.
Sharing and following
Reservish has a light social layer: add friends or follow public profiles, and see a feed of your friends' newest wishes. Each wishlist has its own visibility — public, friends-only, or private — and notifications are intentionally quiet, surfacing only when something matters.
Sign-in and reach
There are no passwords: you sign in with your email and a six-digit code. The app lists availability in ten languages, runs on iPhone with iOS 16.0 or newer, and is completely free with no ads. There is no paid tier and no upsell in the listing.
Who it fits
Reservish suits people who want a straightforward, good-looking wishlist with real reservation coordination and a bit of a social feed — families and friend groups who buy for each other and want to stop doubling up. If you want a mature app with years of history, this isn't that yet; if you're happy to adopt a clean new tool early, the fundamentals are here.
Verdict
A focused, genuinely free wishlist with secret reservations and a light social feed as its backbone. It's very early — small and unproven — so treat it as a promising newcomer rather than a settled default. For coordinated gifting without cost or clutter, it's an easy one to try.
