LM, short for Launchmeter, turns an iPhone into a performance data logger for cars. Combining GPS with the motion sensors, it times acceleration runs such as 0 to 100 and 100 to 200 km/h, records quarter-mile elapsed time and trap speed, and measures road gradient so you know whether a run on a slope counts. A live GPS speedometer shows top speed, distance and trip time, and results export as a shareable statistics card, for several vehicles.
The developer is explicit that it is meant only for closed tracks, autodromes and private facilities, not public roads, and that is the right way to use it. A phone is not a dedicated GPS box, so treat the numbers as a strong estimate. It suits track-day drivers and tuners who want before-and-after figures without buying extra hardware.
