Invoicious is a billing app for iPhone and iPad that makes invoices, estimates, quotes, bills and receipts and sends them as PDFs. It is aimed at freelancers, contractors and small business owners who want to bill from the phone instead of a laptop. Here is what it does, who it fits and where it stops.
Everything below comes from the live App Store listing (version 5.4) and the developer's own site, checked on 2026-10-08. The app has only a handful of ratings so far, so we quote none, and we leave out the user counts and testimonials on the developer's site. Censuus ranks apps by the traffic they draw and by sponsorship, so paying also raises placement.
Invoicious covers the whole billing cycle of a small service business on one phone. You send an estimate before the job, turn it into an invoice when the work is done and issue a receipt once you are paid. Every document goes out as a PDF by email, message or any other app on the device.
The developer names freelancers and the self-employed, contractors and tradespeople, consultants, service providers and small business owners. It suits someone who bills a few clients a week and wants it done on the spot. Teams that need accounting, payroll or bank feeds will want a fuller bookkeeping tool.
Templates with your brand: pick a template and add your logo, brand colours and business details. Taxes and discounts: calculated automatically on each document. Multi-currency: bill international clients in their currency. Client list: saved client details and payment history make the next invoice faster. Duplicate: copy an invoice for recurring work instead of starting over. Time tracking: the developer’s site describes timers whose entries convert into invoices.
You mark each invoice as paid, partially paid, unpaid or overdue and see where your money stands, with analytics on your invoicing. Invoicious does not say that clients can pay an invoice by card inside the app, so plan to take payment your usual way.
The app is free to download and you can create and send invoices right away with no credit card. Premium features come through optional subscriptions; the listing names no price, so we don’t quote one. Check the current terms in the App Store.
Pros: every document a small business sends, from estimate to receipt; branded templates; automatic taxes, discounts and currencies; payment status at a glance; works offline; iCloud sync between iPhone and iPad. Cons: iPhone and iPad only; English only; no built-in online payments mentioned; some features sit behind a subscription; still a young app with few ratings.
If you bill clients from your phone and want estimates, invoices and receipts in one place, Invoicious is a tidy, focused pick. If your customers need to pay by card from the invoice, or you need Android, compare it with the apps in our best invoice maker apps.
