The questions parents ask before installing a chore app for their kids, answered from the App Store listing and the developer’s site.
Answers come from the Growney App Store listing and growney.app, read on 2026-10-02. Where the developer does not say something, we say so.
Everything is free to try for two weeks, with no card needed. After that one monthly or yearly subscription covers all your children and grown-ups on every device. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, in your App Store account settings.
The money in Growney is virtual. You choose what you count in: stars, coins or a currency you name. There are no bank cards, and kids have no way to make purchases in the app.
The developer says there are no ads and no trackers, data is stored in the EU and task photos are deleted after 30 days. The privacy policy is on growney.app.
Growney runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 15 or later, and on Apple Watch for the child. It is available in 44 languages. Android is announced on the developer’s site but was not on Google Play when we checked.
