Ember helps you build a healthier relationship with your phone, not by blocking apps, but by making you aware of how you use them.
Ember is built for time blindness, the way five minutes in a feed quietly becomes two hours, which is especially common with ADHD. Instead of blocking apps, it brings back the clock: while you are in the apps you chose, a quiet notification tells you how long you have spent there today, and you tap five more minutes or I'm done without leaving the app. Widgets show today's time, and an evening receipt translates your day into hours, TV episodes and walks.
It is built on Apple's Screen Time framework, and usage data stays on the iPhone, with no ads. The free version covers a couple of apps at a fixed interval. A reminder only works if you listen to it, so people who need a hard stop should look at a blocker; those who resent blockers and want awareness without guilt will find Ember kinder.
